Pattern:
table lines create a pattern across the photo and fading out into the distance.
Balance:
these two locks and handles are perfectly balanced in every way. 
Color:
colors of red blue and purple illuminate her face for a range of different colors.
Value:
the values of colors on the left side of her face are lighter than the values on the right side of her face 
Shape and form:
the shape and form of his nose and face can be seen clearly in this photo by using a brighter light behind his face to cause a heavy line to show the form of his face.
Texture:
the different textures or his hands are shown in this photo in the wrinkles of his skin.
Emphasis:
using the white back ground it bring emphasis to the person 
Movement:
by taking a long exposure photo you can see movement as he is jumping in the air.
Proportion and scale:
by moving the bottle closer to change the proportion it brings more focus to the bottle than the person in the background.
space and perspective:
with his reached out hand sitting farther back it appears that he is the same size of the bottle and is reaching out to touch it 
Unity:
this photo represents Unity because they are all the same and stand together in Unity. 
Variety:
the objects are all the same (books) but with a wide range of colors in shows a variety of differences. 
Line: 
You can see the the lines that separate the colors in this painting.

1. How can understanding the elements and principles of photography add to your work as an artist?

by being able to tell the differences between between the elements and principles of photography you can learn to bring more meaning to your photos. and be able to get your point across more easily to your audience.  

2. What did you learn or refine from this assignment?

i learned that even the most boring of objects can be interesting if you know how to use the elements as well as how to get a wide range of effects on one photo. i think this will be helpful going forward as i will be able to make my photos more interesting while using these skills. 

3. How can this assignment be improved in the future?

i think the assignment is pretty well rounded i wouldn't change anything.
