Walton Mud Bog 2017

Back in 2017, at the suggestion of my step brother, I went to the Walton Mud Bog to do some photography for him and his friends. Thankfully, due to him showing me around the place (and his pit pass), I was able to get into the deeper area without question to get a much better view. It had been raining all day as well so not only was the pit extra wet, but the entire grounds was a bog.
I was lucky to get a lot of these as most of the time as soon as someone saw a camera on them they wanted to make a face or put up a rock on. These are my favourites for sure.
It was also great to be able to take photos of people all getting together to enjoy their time, even from other countries. Whether it was troubleshooting or helping out others everybody was there for a good time.
The hardest part of all this was dealing with chaos in the pit as well as the battering of mud I received from vehicles either accidentally or on purpose. It was a multi day event but one day was all I had while working a full time job. The constant rain and incredibly inconsistent light was also a huge challenge, but it was the most fun I've had doing photography. If only I had taken a picture of what my Camry looked like after I left.
