This was a project about making an Editorial Illustration for a short story in the New York Times. This Illustration was made for the short story Girl by Jamaica Kincaid. Inspired by Basil Kincaid's usage of African/African-American heritage in his color and design. It is based on how a bad female role model would be depicted in my upbringing.
