The brief for this project was to choose 50 things and create a visual system to explore them. The focus of the project was to explore hierarchy, and creating the correct relationship between typographic and visual elements of design. These are a pack of educational flashcards, one for each of the past 50 years. They give basic background information and describe one major news story from each year, either an important death, notable human acheivement, a disaster, or a political story. The card’s colour denotes its category.
