I love things of intricacy and simplicity.
Such as, the self-winding watch that winds by wrist movement where you can see the gears working.

I found inspiration in the regular everyday things that flood us with a sense of fulfillment; the simple gestures we employ to explain ourselves, the single look that has a whole meaning behind it, the different meanings behind a woman’s simple ‘ok’.

I wanted to create a collection that celebrated the two distinct descriptions of what it means to be a woman. These were the traits that inspired me as I drew the sketches for this new collection – Nkyinkyim.
This collection fuses the simplicity of mild tones and a dash of happy colours, African-inspired hand-made patterned fabric, and designs that pronounce your personality.

Nkyinkyim is a representation of every woman’s need to not be defined by only one standard.
Nyinkyim is an adinkra symbol that means versatility and dynamism. This collection is an extension of fitting into the mold regardless of which shape you are. And it is for every woman who is not afraid to be.

You are the world in a grain of sand,
You are heaven in a wildflower
You are eternity in an hour
You are woman
