Light to Night Festival (2021)
In parallel to the adapting of trials and tribulations of the pandemic. The orchid, a perennial flower, bounces back from harsh predicaments with vibrance and resilience with new means of life. Although we are small, it does not mean we are delicate. We can adapt to any situation, come out stronger and renewed, as one united nation.

Act 1:
A bustling city with the orchid as the heart of SG

Act 2:
Wilting of flower, representing near death situations

Act 3:
Orchid blooming back to life, as a new digital form, showing that it can adapt to its situation and develop along, with its new way of living

Our Message & Summary:
‘As long as your heart is still beating, there is still hope’,
Using the orchid to represent Singapore’s perseverance through tough times, and its ability to adapt and live on.

It was definitely a brand new and thrilling experience when we saw our works on the building for the first time.
Act 3:
Act 3 was my main part and I learnt a lot of new skills with After Effects. It was my first time doing frame by frame animation for the petal blooming and it worked out for the best.
Very fun experience and project, to be able to see our works on a historical building for everyone to see.
