Experimental Handloom Weaving

INTRICATED WOVEN FABRICS
This was a part of my thesis project 'Reincarnation' in which I wanted to create fabrics that would give the feel of mummified cloth, which actually was wrapped around the body years back and now it gave a look like that of a rotten piece of cloth. I couldn't carry this forward due to unavailability of handloom in the Covid pandemic. Weaving these pieces was like creating an art piece for me because the result was unexpected, it was entirely an experimental process, the unplanned outcome it gave me was a treat to my eyes!
I used pure cotton and mixed thread to see what outcome can be with different thread counts. I kept tearing threads from the warp eyes to experience different results.
Thread used: Pure cotton, cotton blend with polyester & woollen cotton
8 x 8 inches
