These panels have been undergoing a process similar to excavation for almost a year. An undocumented amount of layers, both additive and subtractive, have taken place on the surfaces of these wooden panels.
 
After much experimentation with materials and literal and illusionary sense of space, these works are finally done and ready to be hung at Vlad the Retailer: Artist Collective, right here in Los Angeles, CA.
