AZUL & AMARILLO

Two fabric books, which are the result of a study of natural colors, to obtain the colors yellow and blue, using 8 different plants: reseda, safflower, henna, onion, indigo, woad, ligustrum and logwood, in 5 types of fibers: cotton, cupro, linen, wool and silk.

These books or samples, are the result of the process of extraction of the color and its variants, obtained thanks to the different animal and vegetable fibres
Textiles and colour are two of the main areas of research in my works.
I would like to be able to work on them to create a stitching journal. Create language through embroidery, using textile and color as a way to talk about how we feel and how the creative process helps us know how we work and how we interact with the environment around us. Embroidery is a slow and repetitive process, a wonderful way to have a conversation.
Simplicity, minimalism and the connection with architecture are the characteristics that I want to give to this work.
