Rupture / EA Link

Rupture (Web)

In 2009, I worked as a UX consultant to Rupture, which was soon thereafter acquired by Electronic Arts.

Rupture was essentially Facebook for gamers. The product consisted of web-based and downloadable versions that work in tandem with your desktop or console games. Gamers could store and share their achievements, challenge their friends, and earn points towards special rewards.

Rupture was acquired by Electronic Arts, and became the basis for their first social gaming network, EA Link, which is now known as Origin. (http://www.origin.com)

After the acquisiton by EA, Rupture became the basis for EA Link, which was Electronic Arts' first attempt at a social platform for their community of gamers. I stayed on to help transition the product to EA, which involved rebranding the web application and creating a downloadable desktop app (shown below).
