A varanda do apartamento 702B se transformou para receber o piano da Rafa, a filha da família que tem grande aptidão para música. A cliente decidiu contratar uma equipe de arquitetas para fazer um projeto sob medida para suporte do piano e assim aproveitar da melhor forma possível o reduzido espaço de 4m2 que antes era apenas uma sacada convencional. As demandas partiam de uma estrutura metálica para receber o piano, um espaço para plantas e um piso ‘'quente’’.

The balcony of apartment 702B was transformed to receive the piano of Rafa, the daughter of the family, who has great aptitude for music. The client decided to hire a team of architects to make a bespoke project to support the piano and thus make the best possible use of the reduced space of 4m2 that was previously just a conventional balcony. The demands started from a metallic structure to receive the piano, a space for plants and a “warm” floor.

O estilo cosmopolita do projeto reflete a ‘’cara’’ da família, que é jovem e descolada. Entre a sala e a varanda, uma cortina de veludo azul dá acabamento à transição entre os ambientes e faz alusão às tradicionais cortinas de palco, que também tem sua atmosfera reproduzida pelo piso em madeira. Pensado como um ‘’pedacinho de céu particular’’, o teto e as paredes da varanda se inundam por um tom de azul royal que contrasta com o verde das plantas e com o banco de veludo vermelho. As lâmpadas e luminárias trazem uma pitada industrial ao projeto, dialogando com a treliça metálica. Ao fundo, as cortinas são discretas e protegem o piano da insolação direta ao mesmo tempo que deixam passar a luz, o que traz um caráter mais intimista e agradável para a área comum do apartamento.

The cosmopolitan style of the project reflects the “face” of the family, which is young and cool. Between the living room and the balcony, a blue velvet curtain finishes the transition between the environments and alludes to the traditional stage curtains, which also have their atmosphere reproduced by the wooden floor. Thought as a “private little piece of heaven”, the ceiling and walls of the balcony are flooded with a shade of royal blue that contrasts with the green of the plants and the red velvet bench. The lamps and luminaires bring an industrial touch to the project, dialoguing with the metallic lattice. In the background, the curtains are discreet and protect the piano from direct sunlight while letting in the light, which brings a more intimate and pleasant character to the common area of the apartment.

O desenho da estrutura metálica do piano partiu de duas premissas:

1- que fosse versátil e abrigasse também uma estante quando o piano não estivesse sendo utilizado;

2- que servisse como suporte para plantas e;

3-) para fixação de iluminação pendente sem precisar fazer alterações na instalação elétrica.

The design of the piano's metallic structure was based on two premises:

1- that it was versatile and also housed a shelf when the piano was not being used;

2- to serve as support for plants, and

3-) for fixing pendant lighting without having to make changes to the electrical installation.

A mistura de trepadeiras, plantas pendentes e plantas escultóricas dão vida aos elementos estáticos da varanda. Os vasos seguem a palheta do projeto de interiores e em alguns pontos tem sua frieza quebrada com elementos de cerâmica crua. As plantas foram estrategicamente locadas para melhor manutenção do espaço como um todo e escolhidas a dedo pensando no estilo de vida dos clientes.

The mixture of vines, hanging plants and sculptural plants bring the static elements of the balcony to life. The vases follow the palette of the interior design and at some points have their coldness broken with raw ceramic elements. The plants were strategically located for better maintenance of the space as a whole and handpicked with the customers' lifestyle in mind.

O projeto foi um desenlace do trabalho de uma equipe multidisciplinar e exclusivamente composta por mulheres: Bloco B arquitetura e Giz de Terra paisagismo, parceiras de longa data. O visionário escritório de arquitetura Bloco B, prezou pelo envolvimento da paisagista desde o início da concepção do projeto, o que foi muito importante para a qualidade do resultado final pois deu embasamento ao desenho de interiores no que tange ao aproveitamento do espaço considerando todas as demandas das plantas, como insolação e tamanho e profundidade dos vasos.

The project was a result of the work of a multidisciplinary team composed exclusively of women: Bloco B Arquitetura and Giz de Terra Paisagismo, long-time partners. The visionary architecture firm Bloco B, valued the involvement of the landscaper from the beginning of the project's conception, which was very important for the quality of the final result as it provided the basis for the interior design regarding the use of space considering all the demands. of plants, such as insolation and the size and depth of the pots.

A serralheria foi executada pela Serrafer e o paisagismo pela própria paisagista, Laura Rotter, que plantou e instalou todos os vasos, além de fazer manutenção trimestral nas plantinhas da varanda. Cada visita da paisagista, uma planta nova entra para a família, e hoje, quase dois anos depois de pronta, a varanda tem se transformado continuamente e se consolidou como cômodo favorito e mais badalado da casa: uma prova viva de que tamanho não é documento.

The sawmill was carried out by Serrafer and the landscaping by Laura Rotter herself, who planted and installed all the pots, in addition to performing quarterly maintenance on the porch plants. Every visit of the landscaper, a new plant enters the family, and today, almost two years after it was completed, the porch has been continuously transformed and consolidated itself as the favorite and trendiest room in the house: living proof that size does not matter.
