Your Book - Choices of CD Designs

Your Book - Choices of CD Designs
For this post, I will be explaining the CD designs I want to recreate for my FMP project. As I confirmed during the winter season last year, I will be sticking with the project of taking pictures of people listening to music on their headphones.

I will be showing CD designs on this post and I will explain my reasons as to why I liked the designs. I will also say why these CDs are something I wish to create for my FMP project.

1. CD Number One

For this poster design, I really like how the CDs were centre of the poster and that it looks like it is playing to enable the music volume to increase to it's maximum. What I also like about the three CDs is that it resembles what my project has become, which is the emotions of happiness, anger and sadness from people listening to their music. Although, I like the background being black, if I had the chance to create a background it would be something that would represent the emotions I mentioned of each colours.

2. CD Number Two

With this design poster, I like the mixtures of colours that are all merged into one. For example, on the right-hand side, it's very dark with dark blue and on the left-hand side, you can see the bright yellow colour with a hint of purple dots all around it. It is almost like to me that this design would be something of working your way through the negatives to the positives, which again could be something that could link to people's emotions through the songs they listen too.

3. CD Number Three

This design looks very simple. But what I really like about it is how the music notes spread around the CD. It looks like with the power of music, the CD is releasing it's energy to create enjoyment for people who are a big fan of music.

4. CD Number Four

With this poster, I really like how the background represents slow and reverb music. This is because it looks as though the colours are connecting with each other. Although I mentioned I liked the design, I want to push myself to create it for my FMP project. But I also interested in how I can put a bit of the person in my design and from the genre.

5. CD Number Five

Finally, this poster looks very simple with the two people showing their emotions in front of the camera. I even like how it confuses people with the background because normally yellow would be a happy colour, whilst blue is for sadness. But the design here shows how the background is swapped with one another. This poster's design could be something I would like to create for the project in the coming months.
