This "Fiber Cast Series," (2019-2021) consists of fiber arts pieces that were crocheted then directly cast in bronze, aluminum, and iron using a technique called "direct casting." This process utilized ceramic shell and sand casting.
Crocheted "Granny Squares" were used to make a two piece sand mold, then
cast in iron at a masked, vaccinated 2021 Community Iron Pour in Arizona.
