Bolt from the blue is an idiom that means surprise or shock.
If you have seen my "2013 Year in Review" project, you will notice the type treatment I've done for '2013'.
I revisited the artwork again after 24 hours and discoverd some shocking simple type treating techniques.
It was quite a shock!
