Liturgical architecture has always been an interest of mine. While abroad, I had the opportunity to study churches in Rome; my focus soon shifted from the main exterior and interior spaces to the often neglected and unobserved transition between them. Using materials available, I documented these spaces in plan, section, and paper models. Below is Santa Maria in Trastevere, just one example of a number of studies.
