FUTURISTIC BRASSIERE
Mimic
The aim of the project was to redesign a Brassiere for the women living in 2050. A hypothetical scenario was created using current technological developments :-

1. Humans lead a Minimalistic Lifestyle.
2. Artificial intelligence, Virtual technology, Augmented reality and Apparel industry will be booming with technological advancements like Solar Powered Clothes, Self - Cleaning clothes, Smart Shoelaces, etc that which helps in the revolutionization of apparel.
Mimic is named after the product's ability to mold according to the users form.

The material used for the product is Auxetic fabrics, which has a Negative Poisson Ratio that makes it plumper when subjected to stretching stress and finer with compressive strain. These materials can be weaved into the currently available elastic materials like Lycra.

Problem Areas focussed on were lack of fit - support, inaccurate measuring techniques and manufacturing defects of the Apparel.
Once the body heat triggered adhesive cups are worn it molds itself to take the users form and stays intact therefore, making the measuring tape redundant and increasing accuracy.
Breasts do not have any internal structure to provide support hence the cups act according to body movement and adapts to the physical changes.
The cups are either self - cleanable or machine washable making the product user-friendly.
