School of Motion Holiday Card Collaboration 2021
Every year, my friend and amazing motion designer Traci rallies the School of Motion alumni community to create a collaborative holiday card animation. This year's topic was "What got you through 2021?" For me, the answer is yoga. While my personal and professional life was amazing, 2021 was a bit of a roller coaster in the world with all sorts of disasters and other worrying headlines. Yoga quite literally gave me the relaxation and focus to stay sane during the busy times, the stressful times, and even the happy times.
For 2021, Traci made an amazing color palette and anyone who participated could choose their own topic to animate in answer to the above question. The max length allowed was 3 seconds per animator. I wanted to play with characters and expressions, so this is what I made:
Traci created an amazing intro, outro, and edited all of the many contributions together. Check out the full collaborative card. I'm always so impressed by the School of Motion alumni. I feel grateful to be a part of this amazing community of creative professionals.
