Five Objects Book
Our assignment for this project was to choose five objects that are important to us and write a book about their importance. I started with rough drafts of layouts and with many critiques from my peers I was able to keep improving my book. The five objects I chose are my favorite converse hightops, a necklace from my grandmother, a little jar of seashells I have collected, my old dog's collar, and letters written by my sister. Part of the assignment was to find a way to store your book and present it. I hand stitched the binding and created the two resin covers by mixing two epoxy's and letting them set in a mold. This project taught me a lot about the tedious work that goes into making books, but it was easily my favorite project of the semester.
