This desk was made from wood that I found in skips and recycling centers.

The different shapes for the two sides were made by making two halves of a box which then did not connect completely, manufacturing different sized nooks and crannies within the furniture. The gaps are big enough to fit standard sized desk objects in, such as paper and books. The four hinged doors create some closed off spaces at the front. The top was made from lots of scraps of wood, creating a textured effect – this has a pane of glass over it to make a flat surface.

Made in 2011.
