Matrix II Type Specimen

Matrix II was made in the mid-1980s by Zuzana Licko, the owner and leading designer of Emigre. The font was used in many ad campaigns for fast food chains, movie posters, and magazines.
The Matrix II type specimen book is designed to reflect the best aspects of the font, with very clean 45 degree angles and lines. The color scheme was designed to reflect what everybody thinks of when they hear this font’s name, The Matrix. The soft green and light blues were used to reference technology and the evolution of graphic design and through technology.
