In this project, I was able to choose between Sins and Virtues to create a unique tabloid newspaper for. The images were required to relate to each other so I used beverage glasses to convey each of the sins. The newspaper is printed through News Paper Club. I have tons of original photographs for this project, you can check them out on my Dropmark!
This cover photo is a photo taken by me. I broke a glass bottle and piled them up purposely to help keep it more organic looking. I chose to use glass because all of my images are of beverage glasses, so it's a bit of a hint but not giving anything away completely.
Here's a little sneak peak of one of the pages in the newspaper. It's all formatted like this throughout the newspaper. This particular page is representing the deadly sin Wrath. The photo is of a beer glass surrounded by broken pieces of glass. I placed the raw image into photoshop, converted it to duotone and used a blue and red color to create an ominous feel. I chose these colors because it gave me a sickening feeling, as thought the things being portrayed in the images are things I would never aspire to.
