Garbage - Broadcast Yourself Jule

Broadcast Yourself
The project's goal is to create a video telling the world something you believe in, supporting your opinion with audio and video from Youtube.
I feel compelled to talk about garbage and waste which inspired me to create the broadcasting about it. For the tools, I used Google Docs for the script, my headset for voiceover, and my own phone along with my vlogging microphone to record the video.
Script Outline
Once I had my idea, I started outlining what I would say in front of the camera along with my voiceovers and some statistics I would love to mention. I did not want it to feel overwhelming with statistics so I cut it to bring back my main topic.
Background Music
I chose this background music to keep it upbeat and interesting instead of having an audio that makes the topic too serious. I wanted to get everybody's attention and personally, it works quite well.

Voiceovers
I recorded my audio with the use of my computer's voice recorder and my Logitech G432 Headset. I was planning to use my Blue Snowball microphone, but I thought that it would come to a good result recording with my headset as well.
Images & Video Clips
These images have been taken in Google Images while the video clips for supporting details comes from Youtube videos that I had converted into MP4 to be used in editing.
Editing Process
I started off looking for the background music that last throughout the recording and making it interesting instead of boring. I found the background music in Youtube where I can use freely as long as I give credit to their work in the description. Afterwards, I researched some statistics through Google followed by looking for images I can use to connect both ideas visually and auditorily. Based on the script as well, I looked for video clips that connects those ideas as well. Now that I have all of my "ingredients" including my video recording and voiceover, I started placing them in the order of the script to Adobe Premiere Pro. Some of these components needed to be cut to only use the important parts. Not only that, I organized them based on their category: background audio, voiceovers & voice in the video, the main visuals of the video, and titles/ text. In between clips, I put crossfade to transition smoothly except the quick cuts. I retained the audio decibel consistent, but I lowered the background music to -15dB so it would not overpower over my voice. For text in the video, I put the 'live' label to the ones recorded
When I received my partners' voiceovers, I used insert edit (comma key) or select specific group of audio clips followed by dragging to the right side, giving in space between the audio sequence to put their voiceovers. This was done redundantly for the 3 parts worth of voiceovers plus my part as well. Additionally, I put crossfade in between all audio clips for smooth transitions and changed the audio decibels based on their roles, having the voiceovers and artist snippets in similar audio decibel while background music and sound effects being in -15 decibels. I tried condensing everything within 2 minutes, since that was the limit, but I went over with 21 seconds in mind of not ruining the flow of the story.  Lastly, I had added the only image with the Met Gala title I found in Google Image so it does not look empty visually while at the same time, abiding to the rules that this is a radio story.
