AUTUMN HIGHS

My first hike into the northeastern portion of the Cascade Mountains of Washington State did not disappoint.  Filled with alpine lakes and peak after mountain peak, it is an area of pristine beauty, crystal clear air and ice cold running streams.  Almost every square foot is at an incline, too.   Hikers, backpackers, joggers and photographers flock to these mountains for their escape from the techno-jungle of big city life.  Mother Nature, generous as She is, will always welcome humans who seek to reconnect with Her and their true Source.  Just show a little respect if you should take this journey into these pristine lands.
