The deconstruction of a Phoenix's death. In popular media, the Phoenix is often used as an image if rebirth and rejuvenation, a strong symbol of immortality. This work explores the moment of it's dying rather than it's rebirth, with a blood deep red accompany harsh lines that add depth to this violent image. I want to appreciate the beauty of struggle. Even at its final moments, life ends with a bang. Strong, loud and violent. The capacity of life to fight back is pure and invigorating.
