The design program this semester is a community police station complex consisting of police station, small courts and community facilities. The design will be focused around integration of all the three.
Community law enforcement center's are a place where the gap between community and police officers is reduced. This project deals with redesign of a police station typology where people don’t feel afraid of visiting a police station. Understanding how police officers work and what different kinds of departments are there to run a police station is essential.
The main objective for this project was to break away the conventional way of designing a police station, reimagining the idea of surveillance and security in the city, Spatial segregation as per public, semi-public and confinement areas in terms of accessibility and spatial hierarchy.
