myTV allows you to watch the latest TVB programs of full version and high quality through the Internet or mobile devices. It provides most of the high-quality TVB programmes provided by Jade, HD Jade, Pearl and J2 channels, available only few hours after aired. Also, live streaming of channels, user can view anytime, anywhere without login required.
Responsibility:
· Developed a media player that integrates with ads system, stream view tracking system and media content delivery system.
· Deployed a media streaming technology that powered by Adobe and Octoshape.
· Maintained Flash Media Server (FMS) to provide a quality streaming delivery service to end users.
· Involved global delivery system integration and development with CDN solution partner (Octoshape and Akamai) on video streaming, and acted as coordinator to both sides to ensure the project run smooth and achieve the goal on time.
· Responded in R&D on improving streaming service and quality; seeking a possible solution on mobile video streaming.
