O Brasil é berço da flora e fauna mais diversa do mundo, além de que, "nesta terra, em se plantando, tudo dá". Começando pela Bahia, busquei uma flor para cada estado do Brasil a fim de explorar os contextos e histórias de cada uma e representá-las através da ilustração digital. Alguns estados têm flores oficiais, por lei, e outros precisaram de uma boa pesquisa para serem descobertas. Todas rendem curiosidades de botânica, exploração, cultivo, ciência e amor à natureza.
Brazil is the most biologically diverse country in the world, and "in this land, if planted, everything grows." Starting from Bahia, I searched for the flowers of each state of Brazil, in order to discover the context and history behind each of them and illustrate them digitally. Some states have official flowers, as by law, others require some deeper investigation. All of them taught me something about botanics, exploration, farming, science and love for nature.
