Lab 06, animating with Maya

In Maya, to start with creating a ball and a flat surface to act as its floor, the two are coloured, which is covered in lab 5

Clicking on the animation settings in the bottom right of the screen (The cog and running man) will bring you to the animation preferences, here the frames per second can be editied as well as playback speed
Clicking on the timeline and selecting a frame, you can move the ball using the move tool, and then press S to same the keyframe, moving up the timeline and then moving the ball press S again, Maya will fill in the frames between the saves. Continue to move the ball and saving frames until happy with the animation
Clicking on the windows, then the animation editors and selecting Graph editor allows us to fine tune the animation of the ball falling
Group selecting all the tops of curves on the translate Y graph will allow us to smooth out the top of the curves, this will give the animation a more smooth appearance
