I researched the design of an existing wallet that I wanted to replicate, so I disassembled it and began taking note of which pieces I would need to add, and pieces I would need to replicate.

Issues: too small, very stiff. Distance between edge and stitching is too large, and the corners are sharp.

This version was in rotation for a good amount of time. The edges were able to be burnished and the cards sit comfortably in the wallet, with the mechanism working. However, I wasn't able to execute the rounded corners on this version either.

I spoke to a representative from Desserto about using their material and they are gracious enough to offer no minimum orders to students. I received their swatch book and a yard of their black material.
