Productivity OS is an answer to the attention neglected, current computer operating systems. This is a ground up UI which works with mac existing OS model but provides new functionality. highlighted here are the PRODUCTIVTY, COLLABORATIVE and typical FREE FORM modes. Within these modes are a set of new tools; smart task manager, dynamic notes, and dynamic calender.
Problem: Computer as a tool DOES NOT improve workflow, Productivity or staying on task and instead has created a sess pool for feeding multi billion dollar time wasters.
Solution: A clean, Incredibly smart OS that works for the user, that helps you stay on task and achieve goals one step at a time.
Select your work mode
1 Productivity: No internet access. Based around six selection progress ring, color indicitive of progress on smart calender.
2 Collaborative: Great for group work, shows status' of linked users whether in the office or the classroom.
3 Free Form: The normal clutered, unfocused work modes. All programs and workflows are available.
Productivity Mode: Progress Colored Ring, Calender Field, Task Manager/ TAsk Selector
No: Internet services, non specified applications in immediate Task Manager
Designed around cognitive psychology, productivity mode is made to illicit focus from the user. Divert your eyes and the mouse will vibrate, leave the desktop for longer than specified to the Task Manager and an alarm sounds, this is the mode we all need for getting critical things done.
Productivity Mode
Showing the Progress ring and a key program selection. IOS will show current project at its latest point of wortk and is ordered from the order of operations on the Smart Calender. When red lighted tasks are completed the progress rings color turns to a cooler color. The key change here is the Task MAnager, This is the Siri we really need, She will help you stay on track, Write emails from audio input, and be a true assistant. when you need it most.
Smart Calender
When a user clicks on the Calender Field ring within the Progress colored Ring an animation takes the calender to full screen allowing to scoll in and out over a period of your choice, from a day to 5 years. This psychologically allows users to plan out longer periods, to stay motivated and chart their paths all within the IOS.
Smart Notes
This new notes system allows classrooms and work groups of the near future to create complex workable, sharable, and multi-media presentations able to be thrown to airplay and presented to the group. Learning, teaching and group work is about communication of ideas, progess and methodologys, when we present information to one another we understand the presenters thought process while the information solidifies shared understanding.
Collaborative Interface
The collaborative interface is a shared version of the Productivity Interface. users are able to see each others progress rings as well as the current task being worked on from their Task Manager. Collaborative Interface allows the group to pose work status' problems and is a message board for group users and a way for managers to appoint tasks or hold group video chat sessions.
Free Form Mode
Finally theres the Free Form mode selection, for using the computer for gaming, Skyping, Downloading and all other internet required taskes, Facebook would finally be available at this point as well as all of the other individual time wasters.
