For my final semester, based on the subjects given, I chose to reclaim a space in my college and transform it. At Fashion Institute of Technology, there is a shop called "Style Shop" that sells jewelry, clothes, and other items made by students.
F.I.T has many majors to offer, but even as a Communication Design student I was still asked if I design clothes or other Fashion related things, which is why Style Shop only caters to very few majors.
Ridiculous, sometimes unused supplies on our lists add on to the already stressful routine of having to buy expensive textbooks and materials that we will need for the semester. Let's give our students a break by having a center where  necessary supplies are given away during foundation year, and unused supplies are recycled at:
ATSHOP provides students the necessary tools to begin the year with less stress, and the opportunity to help others. It also provides students with access to very guarded and helpful tools such as 3D printers. The student with the help of an ATSHOP tear card will be able to rent various tools for the day, provided that they are kept within the building.
Special tear strip cards will be given to all students.
Foundation Year Package for Communication Design includes pens, pencils, utility knives, a cutting board, a swatch book with different paper samples for the student, the ATSHOP tear card, and 2 books to keep track of progress and sketches throughout the semester. More information about the different packages available to different majors will be available on ATSHOP's website.
ATSHOP will also have a pop-up shop that will travel throughout F.I.T's buildings and students subscribed to ATSHOP will receive notification on where it is located next.
