Vernacular Architecture in Essex- Clapboard

Vernacular Architecture in Maldon Essex. A prevailing style is clapboard, Essex is not plentiful in the supply of stone, wood is relatively plentiful and was used to build cheap and, with insulation, comfortable homes, the style has developed, houses have been refurbished and new ones built using composite plastics.

Approach

I will pursue a record shot approach and aim for clear and accurate images utilising HDR, Focus Stacking and close cropping, I will be a range of shots to illustrating the above.

In the beginning- essence of clapboard construction
A modern construction utilising the same techniques but with angle iron capping!
A row of lock cottages carefully refurbished
Modern property with modern clock tower- they are like that in Essex
Ancient and modern- original complemented by modern additions
Ancient house lovingly refurbished.
