This Malcom X poster design was a part of a larger project revolving around style imitation. For this particular challenge, I was tasked with creating a design featuring a figure from the 1950s-60s, with a vintage wood block style.

Seeking inspiration, I traveled to Nashville's Hatch Show Print shop, where I learned more about the history and overall process of wood block printing. It was an incredible experience that really influenced my final design. After my work there, I also took the time to learn about the poster's subject, Malcom X, and his impact on the Civil Rights Movement. All of these pieces came together in my final poster design through style and the use of a famous quote.
