University Design Project:
Dreamland by Glass Animals Redesign
In order to explore how typographic treatments such as kinetic typography can be used to create a unique design, I have redesigned the album ‘Dreamland’ by Glass Animals and incorporated distorted typography to capture the dreamlike and almost psychedelic tone of the album. The blurriness of some elements throughout the album’s design also adds a whimsical feeling of the entirety of this album. Using distorted typography was incredibly useful in making sure that the title of the album (‘DREAMLAND’) was the most eye-catching part of the album as it takes up nearly the whole space, and it also hopefully prepares any potential listeners/buyers of what to expect based off the design.
