The pandemic had a severe impact on the automotive industry, forcing Lexus to close showrooms, bringing sales to a halt. With the world in lockdown, people started spending more time online, with social media usage increasing by 76%.
In partnership with Facebook, we created the Lexus Car Configurator, building MENA’s very-first mobile showroom experience, bringing the entire car purchase journey to people’s social newsfeeds. The campaign resulted in 2 X increase in conversions driven vis-à-vis the business-as-usual campaign with 13 car purchases, totaling 2.6 million AED in sales.
