The project I am currently working on is an environment based on the fairy tale "Hansel and Gretel". I want to show just how creepy this original fairy tale really was through my use of sinister looking assets and grim lighting. In the end, I want a single image that can sum up the entirety of the Hansel and Gretel story, while putting my own grim twist on it.
 
 I plan to create a scene that could eventually be used in a video game. This would include low poly models with normals baked down from highpoly models, and full hand painted textures. 
Below I will include some in progress shots of what I have done currently.
Please note that NOTHING is final, and it is a constantly evolving project.

This is the current layout of the assets in the scene. Traditionally the Witches cabin is made of gingerbread and candies. In the final scene, all objects that form the structure of the cabin will be made of assorted candies. The props within the scene I plan on keeping true to real world materials.
(ex: The table will be made of gnarled wood, and the stove will be hand forged metal).
The oven that will soon be used to cook Witch Flambé.
The cage that was once used to hold plump little Hansel hostage.
The table that the Witch would have eaten her succulent roast Hansel on.
The cauldron that was there to stew up a nice Hansel Gumbo.
