natural souls trapped in their very nature
This photographic project starts from the observation of small elements found in nature.
Ferns, lunarie, pine cones. Small shrubs that somehow caught my attention for their innate peculiarity. Intricate shapes, or extraordinarily simple. Trapped in what is their primary source of life, water. The ice prevents their growth and at the same time paralyzes the shrubs in a profound stillness.
Enclosed by a transparent cage that shows these elements in all their precious fragility.The shades of the shots vary, depending on the moment in which they are immortalized. Sunbeams slowly heat and melt the frozen shell, showing the natural soul in all its completeness. What follows is not the unraveling of these elements, on the contrary, they still appear wonderfully intact.
