I was commissioned to design a logo for Laurel Tax Services.

The challenge: Laurel wanted a logo to brand her new tax service. She was drawn to seal-style logos, mint and gold, nature, roses, the letter L, quilting laurels, and wanted something that looked professional and official. 

My approach: I met with Laurel for lunch and a discussion about what she would like to see. I took into account all of her ideas, logos she had seen before that she liked, and pitched in ideas of my own. We both left very excited to get to work and I created some rough concept sketches for her to review.

Below are the initial sketch concepts I came up with. 

The result: We ended up with a logo that is professional, easy-to-read, and fits with her style. The "laurel" design was worked in to create a seal-style logo that is both on-brand and on-the-nose in the best way, making it simple to remember the name. A full-color pantone design was created, as well as options for single-color, reversed, and metallic foiling.
