There is a power struggle that exists in almost every city across the United States between graffiti taggers and property owners. My documentation is evidence of this struggle between these two very different groups of people that rarely meet; nonetheless a conversation ensues.
The problem with this conflict is that there is no resolution between the two parties that would ever bring the struggle to a close. Thus, an infinite fractal recursion takes place, a layering occurs, and ironically both parties end up defacing the property. Graffiti taggers mark up walls, and property owners carelessly attempt to cover up the presence of the unseen and unknown.
In the end, no solution to this struggle will be possible by continually dealing with this issue in this manner. It seems as though property owners, who have experienced battle fatigue and have stopped covering up graffiti in a seamless fashion, thereby creating an even bigger blight on Tucson streets.
