Based on a still frame from a video interview of Abdullah Kurdi, the father of Alan Kurdi, the Syrian refugee boy pictured drowned on a beach in the viral 2015 photo. Like Abdullah, Jesus was a Middle Eastern refugee, and was publicly ostracized. Also like Abdullah, God the Father grieved the loss of his son.
