I first heard about Pangolins shortly after arriving in Laos. Before that, I did not even know they existed! I was instantly fascinated. How they look like and what they are able to do!

But sadly, all 8 species of Pangolins are also threatened with extinction.

They are so unique that they deserve a book. This factbook for children aims to portray these wonderful animals the way they should be: wild and free.

Thanks to the generous support of Association Anoulak, Pha Tad Ke Botanical Garden Luang Prabang and Comité pour la Coopération avec le Laos (CCL), this Lao-English edition has been published in 2019. It is being used in different conservational projects all over Laos to raise awareness about the critical condition of Pangolins - and some copies are for sale in Luang Prabang and Vientiane.
