S is for Sailing. For this illustrated letterform project, I challenged myself to be creative and thoughtful in my concept for the letter S as it really transformed the letter into my desired shape. While the sail is not a traditional triangle shape, I believe it is still clear that it is a sail blowing in the wind, being directed by ropes following the S curve that also connect the boat and the sail. I chose a nautical color palette for this illustration that consist of calm, natural colors such as blue, brown, tan, and white.
