For my major project I decided to research apis mellifera - the western honeybee, and understand why their numbers are depleting.

I wanted to create a beehive that would allow beekeeping to be more accessible to everyone, particularly city dwellers and the disabled.

So I created APIS - a contemporary beehive for urban living.
