3 Front Covers
i like how it highlights the new way of living during the last year and how that has had an impact on relationships.

the only thing i would change would be see more of the male subject or at least be able to see his neck.

It was shot with a white back drop, it been simply done and they were modeling in a contempry way.

i like how she is posing in a natural way and looking straight into the camera and making a natural facial expression.

The only thing i would change is maybe the font of '' Full House'' to make it more eye catching cause its kind of a regular font.

Its shot on location were there is palm trees and its shot with natural lighting.

i like how natural her make up is and how big and fun her outfit is, its different and show that you don't need a full face of make up and that everyone is beautiful.

I think the only thing i would change would be to change the background colour and use a complemenrty colour to her dress.

Its shot in a studio and the light in her eyes makes it look like light coming from a large window or maybe a box light.

These are some notes i took during October 7th's session
I learned about different types of cameras and how they worked, i learned about camera modes like aperture and shutter speed. We were also taught what ISO to use when inside and outside and how to set up the camera.

We also got taught about the risk assessment so we knew what to write when we book the studio and equipment.

GUARDIAN SATURDAY MAGAZINE ANALYSING
The cover of the Saturday magazine looks cool, I like the fire affect and how the model ( Jeremy Strong) look straight into the camera with no facial expression even though his body is on fire. When looking i can tell the light is coming from the right as there is a shadow on his left side.
Article 1
When i turned the page my eyes went straight the paper thats on fire. This article is about Jeremy Strong on playing his character Kendall Roy on succession. He mainly talks about his character and what he does to get into character. Just like every actor he has his armour and he has his anxieties that he says he has to strip away to engage his creative self.

Again i think the lighting is coming from the right as there is a shadow on his left side. Then there is his script for his show on fire and him not showing any emotion which can show how he has to strip away any emotions he feel so he can get into character. He also says he doesn't get to see the episodes straight away so he doesn't actually know whats happening with his character, so the fire on the script could also represent that.
Article 2
This article is colourful which is what drew me in. This is about our wardrobe and what new ways we can wear our clothes. The artist Pascal Anson say " Bored of your wardrobe, Try wearing one colour at a time", the photo is of him wearing 8 different outfits in different colours and i think its to show people what creative way we can wear our clothes.

Lighting Diagram
A lighting diagram is a drawing or illustration that shows the equipment used to light a photo, They show where lights are placed and were the camera will be.

Exposure looks at the depth of field

ISO/Exposure looks at noise/grain in the image

shutter speed controls motion blur, the lower the number the more blur and the higher the number the more crisp the image

RAW is uncompressed so you can do anything to a raw file and it will not be ruined when edited.
In this image i can see that there is possibly two types of lighting, on the left there could be a strip box lighting with maybe some red gel. Then on the right there could be white box light.
My lighting diagram of the above image
Homework:
The inverse square law
The inverse square law is an equation that links the intensity of light source to the light thats produced at any given distance. The further the light , the more light will be lost and the closer the light is the brighter the model will be and darker the background.
2 more lighting diagrams

in this image i think on the left side there could a large box  light or a soft box light and then to cause the shadow on the right there must not be another light.
in this image i think on the left side there is a large box light the behind the model there could possibly be a small light that lightens the backdrop.
week 4
my treatments
Week 5
this session we had a formative were we came in groups and worked together to set up 2 different studio lightings. i set up the lights and was also the model for the test shoot.in the first lighting setup, i setup the 2 lights i kind of struggled but that was cause it was my first time doing it.in the second one i moved the poly boards and was agin the model.
Week 6

this session we learnt about the basics of photoshop ,i ndesign and capture one. we went through all the tools and how to use them. we began with capture one and went through all the tools.
i did some practicing on capture one
Week 7
For my location shoot, I would like to capture the role of the security guard scanning bags to make sure than no one is bringing anything like knives in. I plan to photograph part of the machine and the person who is operating it to make sure that their role is made clear. I would like the lighting to focus on the person's face.
i started my planning of with looking into different lighting so i could choose which ones i would use for my studio shoot.
studio shoot and location shoot
i decided to go for rembrant lighting as it was one that i learnt in secondary school, and i really like how it looked.its also easyer to do for my location shoot as i wont have enough room for a bunch of lights.

week 9
this Wednesday i did my location shoot, i had a small time slot cause it was a work space and i couldn't be there for long, me and my assistant got everything ready, we talked to the model and started taking photos whilst he was doing work and even posed for me. the room was small so i chose to leave him where he was and at his desk with his work next to him and made it into an action shot ind of. without transport managers the vans wouldn't be eligible to transport and shops wouldn't get their food , magazines , and ect.

week 10
this Monday i did my studio shoot, it was exiting but at first i was really nervous as it was my first time ever doing a studio shoot. i love how my images turned out , if i were to change anything it would be to make the poses not all similar and do different angles.
my RAW photos
i used a light tan background cause it complimented the colours of her outfit. i like how i changed between outdoor wear and indoor wear.
studio shoot : final images
this image gave me magazine look and i loved it, i like the direct look to the camera and the natural pose. i don't like the dent in the background but the main focus is the model so it doesn't always catch my attention.
i wanted a close up and loved this one as she's looking away at something. i chose to put in black and white as i like to experiment in black and white so i did.
for this one i had to combine two photos as her face wasnt prepared for the photo so i masked anther photo of her face and put it over this one.
lighting diagrams
Final magazine images
i chose white for the writing as the background is too dark. i love how this one turned out , it looks like a magazine you would pick up from a shop.
i used both black and white writing as its cool looking and the bottim right was too dark. i also love how this one turned out.
i like this one however i think the bottom right is too dark and you cant really see the writing.
