The goal was to create an invitation that Capcom would send out. In this case a fighting game tournament. I wanted to light a fire in all who would receive this invitation thus my choice of words at the top ,and under the logo. I added the two most recognizable characters from the game Street Fighter who also happen to be rivals. In doing this I hoped to further fan the aforementioned fire ,and give them a sense that the fight had already started.
A business card for the founder of Capcom that uses the yellow and blue that they are so fond of. I made the information area white so it would be easier to read. Lastly black bars where added to help offset the white.
I wanted to design a new logo for Capcom. My goal was to keep it familiar ,but revitalize it as well. The yellow ,and blue chosen are from the current logo as I felt it was more of a tradition to the company then just some colors. Lastly it needed a new look thus Mega Man a character made by Capcom who's primary color is blue ,and on his weapon arm has a row of yellow squares. The shape used for the logo is that of his weapon ,and I replaced the squares with the company name.
This banner was made to look like one you may see at a convention like E3. Both Resident Evil ,and the subtitle were done to match the current way Capcom has been doing the previous entries. Black was used around the characters ,and game title to help set the mood of the games genre. A slogan under the companies logo was added that makes a reference to part of the games lore thus adding something for long time fans.
A new homepage for Capcom's website. I kept it simple to make navigation easy ,and to keep it inline with the current website. I made sure that the founder had a mission statement up front so it was clear to the user what Capcom stands for. Like in all my Capcom based projects the iconic yellow ,and blue are used along with the redesigned logo.
This is the outside of a trifold brochure that is for a yet celebrated anniversary that has a commitment to the consumer on it ,and as it is opened the reader sees Capcom's current slogan. As always the tried ,and true colors are present. I did not however add any white to counter the use of black. This was done so the outside would offset the inside.
The inside of the brochure uses white so it is in contrast of the outside. It has three games mentioned each one coming out in a different season of the same year. All three games get one picture each to capture the readers attention ,and they are staggered so that they do not run together which I felt would confuse someone if they did.
For this e-mail blast an actual game addon release for Street Fighter V was used instead of making up something new. The blast itself is of course of my design. The important information is shown at the top to get the readers attention ,and as they follow it down pictures of what the addon contains are present. Lastly it contains two calls to action one being the link to a website ,and the other is presented as a challenge "Are you ready to be schooled".
This one is a personal favorite of mine ,because it is a Mega Man game that alludes to the conclusion of Mega Man's battle with Dr. Wily. This project was done as a half page magazine ad for Capcom ,and the dimensions of it are what Game Informer Magazine uses. I wanted to bring a sense of nostalgia to the ad so I chose Nintendo to be the console company that this fictional game would release due to Nintendo's long standing history with the franchise.
