I wanted to make a Neon Grid sign for Black Friday. I started out with Typography and getting the thickness of the lines and the dashes how I wanted them.

From there it was about composition and big shapes. I love retro logos with triangles in them so I went for it.

The next step was adding the lines for the electricity to run through. This will add a level of believability to the piece as neon signs have fairly visible connections.

Lastly it was about adding photoshop effects and rendering the background.

As a finishing touch I added some Wall clips to ground the image back into reality a bit more.
