I've been deeply touched by the minimalism of the ancient Swahili style. It’s one of the most beautiful style with an artistic handmade details. I think it turns any viewer tranquil when he gets inside or outside the space, full of humanistic, charismatic and also ecofriendly, which resurrects serenity and mystery to every soul.
As a designer i would love to introduce this style within preserving it's own charm and enjoying the challenge even when being mixed with modernity and visual treatments, as it already serves aesthetic historical attractive elements of east Africa.

*A simplified overview about the Swahili architecture, which is a very visible touristic landmark along the coasts of eastern and southeastern Africa like Kenyan coast and Zanzibar Island, it's one of the simple derivatives of Islamic architecture, which has distinctive usages of the local materials such as stones, wooden mangrove columns and sea coral even the raw handmade tools and touches had created a high aesthetic harmony which led to the creation of many innovations forms and intense diverse influences within a mixture of African, Arabian and South Asian cultures. History is interlocks and overlaps and cannot be divided into distinct stylistic parts.
It achieves a functional response towards each of the physical, human and environmental needs, with a highly minimalism look, also the natural ventilation and the appreciation of privacy at residential design.
Personally, I see that it is one of the distinctive styles which must be considered and contemplated respect, and more attention should be paid to preserving it's survival from the momentum of randomness, also to be more carefully when using and applying a new developed innovated materials with it, in order to preserve the historical aesthetic and aroma of the deep impact which it's deeply leave inside soul and passion when seeing them at reality.
