WHERE DID “OAXACA” COME FROM?
The beaches of Oaxaca have a soul, they have a heart. He sought to change the distance for closeness, and the best way to do it was to eliminate the material and return to the natural. This collection is about breathing, that is its vital characteristic. To connect, return, recognize and be surprised; just as I was surprised by each sunrise and sunset in the Pacific Ocean. In Agua Blanca, Ventanilla, Playa Mermejita and Mazunte, I got to know silk on other surfaces that were not textiles. And in it, the viewer undertakes a journey inside. Tranquility on the beaches, strength in the Pacific Ocean, unbeatable sunrises and unique sunsets; all that is "Oaxaca".
