🪜 My journey at TEDxTartu
TEDxTartu is an independently organised event, managed by a team of volunteers who create TED-like conferences and other TEDx events in their local communities. I've had the absolute honour of designing for TEDxTartu as a solo designer from January 2018 to September 2021. I'm continuing my journey now as a co-organiser and head of the design team for TEDxTartu 2022.

The main theme of the 2018 conference was censorship (tsensuur in Estonian). A discussion was created in order to define its exact meaning, as well as how our thoughts and ideas help interpret it.
I interpreted this theme quite literally and created the concept of a moving lamp, which illuminates a part of the message at any given time. The goal was to evoke feelings of censorship without actually restricting information.
The moving lamp concept was also used while introducing speakers to the stage
