Impact Lab: People "Through Her Eyes" Design Project

Participation in an university design intensive sprint created the opportunity for a multi-disciplined team (Jordan Hayes, Jasmine Matai, Toby Metcalfe & Adriana Silvey) to address a brief given by an industry partner - in this case WIFT (women in film and television Australia). Skills such as consultation, research, refinement and pitch delivery were all developed during this project.
Client Brief narrowed down - the potential to address was identified within the team.
The design solution was refined to a concept that consisted of a promotional public installation that is interactive. It includes a directors typical set up and a camera lens which people could look through and watch a video clip which shared insights about the organisation.
The installation is aimed to be spread across major cinemas and where there is heavy foot traffic.
Story board depicting how the installation will be implemented.
The impact of this project not only raises awareness about the social injustices that exist for women in the film industry but also addresses the potential of the company to expand and build more of a community.
